Fajr Int'l Film Festival to review German and Chinese films

The 37th edition of Fajr International Film Festival has decided to review a number of Chinese and German films in the section of World (other countries) Cinema.

This edition of the event will be held in spring 2019 and will focus on the cinematic works in nine sections.

Details of the selected films have not been published yet.

Last year, the focus of the 36th edition of the festival was on reviewing Italy and Georgia cinema and audiences welcomed the screened works.

Since its establishment, the Fajr Film Festival has played a vital role in the development of the Iranian Cinema.

Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran and across the world every year.

The festival's 37th edition is slated for April 18-26, 2019.
